Wendy Williams is always preaching to her TV audience about celebrities, but her take on Ayesha Curry's frustration over women who have crossed boundaries with her husband Steph Curry felt like she was talking about herself.
On Thursday (May 9), the longtime TV host sat down for her round of hot topics and dived into the subject, which felt a little too close to home amid reports that her own estranged husband Kevin Hunter allegedly cheated on her. "There are a lot of women with no respect for a marriage," the 54-year-old host said, before sharing a brief pause with the audience. "You know what I'm saying? A lot of women who know your man is married and will have the nerve to be right up under him, right under your nose."
Williams went on to play a clip of Ayesha’s interview with Jada Pinkett Smith on Red Table Talk, which is making the rounds online. "I'll never forget," Ayesha says in the clip. "We wanted to buy bikes one day … Riley, at the time, she’s less than a year old. And this group of people come over, they’re trying to ask Steph for pictures and autographs. The woman opens the car door, sticks her body in the car and is just like, 'Oh, let me see.' And I’m like, ‘No, no, get out of the car.’ And she goes, 'Oh, honey, you know what you signed up for.'"
"For you lonely girls who can't keep their hands off other people’s men, there's a hot place in hell for you," Wendy continued. "If you bite back, man, you lose."
Just last month, Williams filed for divorce from Hunter after 22 years. As per recent reports, he has requested that she pay his lawyers for the dissolution of their marriage. In court documents obtained by The Blast, Hunter asked the judge to "order the Wendy Williams Show host to pay his legal bills in the case, saying he needs her to fund his battle against her in court," and split their personal assets they acquired during the marriage. The pair share an 18-year-old son, Junior.
