Nicole Murphy Apologizes For Kissing Married Director Antoine Fuqua

Nicole Murphy is sorry she kissed married director Antoine Fuqua.

Eddie Murphy's ex has changed her tune and issued an apology after being spotted kissing Lela Rochon's husband of 20 years in Italy earlier this week. "Antoine and I [are] friends. We ran into each other while we both were in Europe," she said in a statement. "Without going into the entire situation, I want to apologize to my family, and to Lela and the Fuqua family for what transpired."

"It was not my intention to be in this situation. I do not condone women kissing or interacting in anyway [sic] inappropriately with a married man," Nicole continued. "I too was once married and I would never intentionally undermine another woman, despite what has been written."

After photos surfaced of Nicole and Antoine engaging in a few moments of passion on Monday (July 22), Nicole released her first statement to Love B. Scott, saying, "Antoine and I are just family friends. I ran into him in Italy and we exchanged a friendly hello and that was it."

The 51-year-old model's explanation was met with disbelief since the kissing photos — which showed them doing a lot more than just "running into each other" as they locked lips multiple times, chilled poolside, and sipped on coffee together — told a different story. (See the photos HERE)

Making matters worse, after the photos surfaced, LisaRaye, who was married Michael Eugene Misick and rumored to have had an inappropriate relationship with Nicole while he was married, accused Nicole of having an affair with her ex-husband. "Gurl @nikimurphy you went after @iamlelarochon husband too?" the actress commented on The Shade Room's Instagram post of Antoine and Nicole's kissing photos.

Antoine's wife Lela deactivated her Instagram and Twitter following the release of the photos, and neither she nor her husband has commented on the images.
