This young lady blew us away when she came up to talk to us on the radio earlier this year. Evvie is iHeart Radio's On The Verge Artist after winning the last season of "The Four." She is amazing and sang her new song on the season 2 finale last night.
Evvie McKinney will be in this business for a long time if you ask me. I love her and love her innocence. I hope she never loses that sweet, genuine energy she has. She has a beautiful family from what I'm told. I had the pleasure of meeting her brothers, Mannie and Gideon. Gideon is a singer himself and travels all over the world. She comes from humble beginnings and a very talented family. Gideon was even one of the singers on American Idol some years back.
Evvie has had the privilege of singing with and for some amazing singers and leaders. She is young but has been traveling with some of the best like Bobby Rush.
The world will fall in love with her just as we in Memphis have.
