Rest in heaven to OUR friend Kylan. We love you.

As I sit here in my room, on my bed, I just can’t help but wonder how Dallas is. She loves her dad and he loves her. No one can ever argue against that.

We lost a giant today. He wasn’t your average giant, he was the quiet kind. He liked to mind his own business. He was loud on the radio and quiet every where else. He didn’t like attention... though he got it anyway.

You see, he was World Famous, The World Famous Kylan.

When I moved to Memphis Kylan was still on K97. He was doing nights, 6-10pm. And from what I understand, he did that shift for years. Mike Evans said he use to be his fill in in the mornings until Bobby decided to give him his own show.

We laughed today remembering him and when they were not watching I cried. Fell in Sherry Mackey’s arms today. She held me and prayed for me. I went to the right place. Because, in times like these we need people who can touch heaven with and for us.

I wept for his family and still do. I weep for his daughter Dallas! How her heart must hurt and long for her daddy. But mostly I am weeping because I miss him, because I love him. He was family. We are family at iHeart no matter what others may think. We really do love each other.

I was so busy yesterday and the days before that I didn’t check on my friend. I know that I have to forgive myself for that.

We loved silly stuff. He was always showing me a meme or a story. We talked about Wakanda and the movie. And Kylan was like, “Y’all can’t got to no Wanda. Y’all act like that place is real.” 🤣🤣🤣 I sent him something I found online and texted him and said, “See. I knew I could go to Wakanda.” Below is what I sent him an email that I received the same day we talked about it.

I blotted out my real name on that email. 🤣 I am laughing thinking about it. That was Tuesday, May 15th at 4:48 PM. He worked for Bobby that week and he walked in my studio that morning and said that we were not going to Wakanda and to that I replied, “ Yes we are and yes I can.”

We laughed like I am laughing now. He gave me that look and walked out of my studio saying the usual... “Maaaaaaaaannnnneee.”

I can hear him now. 😂😂😂

Dallas, if you are reading this. I love you and your dad, “The World Famous Kylan”. Be great as I know you will, as your Dad will forever be in OUR eyes.

Mr. and Mrs. Hunt, thank you for giving the world a gift called Kylan...... 😊

I am honored and glad to have worked with and lived in the days of Kylan Hunt, a true scholar and gentleman.

Rest on my friend from your work, rest on!
