MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A food pantry with an upscale feel is opening today in the Hickory Hill community.
SisterReach, a Black-woman-led nonprofit, launched Pearl’s Pantry to help low-income families and people in need, according to a release from the company.
The pantry provides a unique shopping experience in a safe, upscale environment similar to a department store or boutique.
Community members will be able to shop for clothing, food, hygiene products and baby needs - completely free of charge, according to the release.
The pantry opens at 9 a.m.

Community members will also have the opportunity to learn more about the work of SisterReach, as well as Pearl’s Pantry partners.
SisterReach was founded in October 2011.
